Self-Portrait

Haven't been able to put much time into this yet, but I'm trying to go for the look of the new Star Wars TV series characters.

Here's a work in progress. This came from some noodling in photoshop, then started to form into something interesting.

Jumping Point 2.0

Okay. I am done with this painting...not because it's actually anything that could be considered done, but because I'm up against the wall with the designs. I have a whole lot more design work that has to be done on the environment and the characters, so I will have to do this one again. Still, it's something that can help me get the gears cranking.

MONSTERS!

A sneaky preview of the upcoming "Monsters & Creature Designs" section of aidancasserly.com.
I really need everyone to give me some hard critiques. Go for it. Rip in. Make those ACME guys look like girl scouts. Make Bunny look like a bunny.

Self-sketch

Here is my cute self...all tiny and stuff.

Self-portrait as Robin

This one is for Nelson, me as the Boy Wonder:

WHATCHU LOOKIN AT?!?!

Here's a lil sumthin I cooked up between breaks and lunch. I tried getting a lil bit of my likeness while still pushing the caricature and shapes.

FUTUR-ESCAPE

Here's a lil sumthin for all you people who like it rough and loose! I would like to take this to a finish... someday, sometime in the future.

Tribute to Schulz

I did this as part of a bits/"Generations" project for Barron's class, thought I'd scan it since it fit the theme.

WIP Future San Francisco

This is the loose layin I did for a project I have been working on for about a year. I never seem to get any time to take it further, so hopefully I can now. This is basically a street shot that I meant to be a mood piece of a future SF. I am trying to make a collection of short story/comics based on that theme. Here's to hoping I will stop being lazy!

In the year 2000......

A future landscape, starwars style sky city type of thing.

Self-Port: why so glum, nelly...?

just a quickie... what happens when your tablet pen doesn't work? you get impatient and draw with old tools.

Dino Rider

Not much to say about this one that isn't in the piece. Dinos and Samurai!!

January 8, 2008

Samuradino

This dinosaur was one of my favorites back in the Jurrasic Park days....I can't remember it's name but it was cooler than triceratops because it had a bunch of spikes on its head. Now with samurai armor and swords he is invincible!

Horror meets Thriller [A Comic]

Man-Thing was an obscure horror comic from Marvel's seventies' output; the eponymous character was a swamp creature who could sense people's emotions. If he came in contact with a person who was afraid his hands would secrete a corrosive acid (or, as the narrator would intone: "Whoever knows fear...burns at the Man-Thing's touch!").

With that in mind, let us visit our mucky monster as he encounters a horror from our own childhood...
