Tried taking inspiration from newspaper comics and Mad magazine, but avoided direct reference for fear of plagiarising existing characters unintentionally. I wanted the viewer to see the characters as thinking they are tougher than they actually are.

That's a cool character. Yeah, I could see him in the newspaper, well, at least the old newspaper comics I grew up with, seems nowadays they give anyone who can barely hold a pencil. But I digress, great drawing!
